The Book of Job Commentary
The testimony by God was
that Job was the most righteous man on the earth in his day.
Behind the Scenes, unknown to Job, there was a conversation occuring in
heaven between satan and the Lord.
The accustation was that Job only served the Lord for the benefits he
was recieving from Him.
Job didn't understand why he had lost all of his children and his
material wealth. In spite of his losses, he procliamed "The Lord
gives, and the Lord takes away, Blessed by the Name of the Lord".
At the conclusionof Job's incredible trial, he procalimed that before
the trial had begun he only knew about the Lord from what he had heard
from other people. After the trial was concluded, Job
proclaimed "Now I see You with my eyes".
