The Process
and Purpose in
the Making of a Man of God
The
Book of 1 Samuel tells the story of the transition from the period of
the Judges to that of the Kings and the Prophets in Israel.
In the book of 1 Samuel we learn that man is not capable of ruling over
man, the ideal rule would come from God Himself. Unfortunately, man
does not like to be ruled by God and goes through period of rebellion,
repentance, restoration and then rulership again under God as in the
days of the Judges.
As David is called to be the king of Israel, he is just a humble
shepherd boy tending his fathers sheep high in the mountains.
There is a charachter and personlality in David that Loves
and trusts in the Lord so fervently, that nothing cause him fear, or
does it?
David is not afraid to stand before Goliath and slay him with one well
placed stone, but then later he cowers in fear as Saul pursues him
relentlessly.
